The Rivière de l'Aigle

Great departure for a 3 days expedition on the Rivière de l'Aigle in a voyageur canoe.

This type of canoe is a 8 to 11 meter boat that can seat 6 to 18 people, including equipment. The Voyageurs used canoes of different forms to move on a vast network of lakes and rivers, allowing them to move quickly and efficiently all over the continent. The canoe (Rabaska) became one of the most popular canoe during the period when the fur trade was at its peak, around 1750.

We will experience this journey as the Voyageurs lived at the time. We will paddle the day to cross the daily stages, we will sleep in a tent and we will cook the menus of the time. In short, we will live to the rhythm of nature.
